This residence sits on the banks of the Tennessee River, but you wouldn’t know if from the original kitchen. The goal was to open up the kitchen to take advantage of the stunning river view. We removed the wall separating the kitchen from the dining area and designed a fresh, modern kitchen with new cabinets, countertops, and appliances.
View GalleryThis project presented an interesting challenge: one cook is 49” tall while the other stands at over six feet. The solution was to divide the kitchen into two areas that accommodate both users. A retractable set of steps under the cooktop allow both people to comfortably use the appliance. A section of the kitchen has 24” high counters with its own sink and access to a built-in microwave.
