This Riverview ranch over a full basement had remained virtually untouched since its construction in the mid 50's - it still had the original pink metal cabinets in the kitchen! The new owners wanted a floor plan that reflected a 21st century lifestyle. Although most rooms stayed in their original locations, we opened up walls and the staircase to the basement to create a more expansive feeling for the house.
View GalleryThis house, dating to the early 1900’s, had a kitchen isolated from the rest of the house. A rear addition with a den/keeping room, mud room, and screened porch has opened up the floor plan and allowed for entertaining, expanded storage, and outdoor living.
View GalleryThe owners wanted an updated kitchen that opened to their living area. We removed part of the wall separating the two rooms and designed a modern kitchen featuring an oversized island. We also added a new feature wall in the living room with a fireplace flanked by built-in cabinetry.
View GalleryAs is typical for this age house, the rooms were boxy and separated. The owners wanted a more integrated floor plan. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a more expansive space that functions for this family with children.
