25300 J0 Taper 1/2" Diameter Shank Sensitive Drill Feed

When drilling small holes with a drill press or lathe, use this drill feed accessory to reduce tool breakage and precisely position holes. To use, simply position the shank of the feed tool in your existing regular-sized drill chuck. Then mount a miniature drill chuck on the Jacobs #0 taper shank on the other end of the drill feed (visible in the image as the "short" end of the tool).Once the feed is mounted, instead of using the full feed of the drill press to feed the drill bit into the material, you can grip the feed by the edges of the knurled disc with two fingers and pull down. This feel allows the rotary motion of the drill press to transfer smoothly to the miniature drill chuck while giving you much more control about how quickly the drill feeds into the material. The fingertip-controlled feed rate helps prevent walking and deflection when starting the hole. Also gives you more control and superior "feel" as the hole is drilled.When finished drilling, release the disc and a spring automatically retracts the feed back up to its original position.
